Cry Parrot are are playing host to New York No Wave group Swans in Glasgow later this month and we’ve got a pair of tickets to be won.
Formed by Michael Gira in 1982, the band quickly became renowned for their extreme volume levels, punishing onslaughts of sound and the brutal growls and shouts of Gira’s vocals. From 1987 to their disbandment in 1997 the group released several records spanning multiple genres.
In 2010, a new track appeared on the group’s MySpace page followed by live dates and a new album later that year. This year they released double live album to fund the recording of their new album The Seer and are once again taking their ferocious live show on the road.
Cry Parrot: Swans takes place on Friday 16 November at The Arches in Glasgow. Tickets are £17.50 and are available from WeGotTickets.
